Many property owners would like to avoid the stress and hassle of negotiating with the government authority for the amount due for their property.  Attorneys Gus M. Shihab and Robert J. Mann have over two decades of combined experience in litigation.  Both Mr. Shihab and Mr. Mann have represented property owners on eminent domain cases against the government authority. We offer a variety of services to property owners, from handling all negotiations with the government authority for your property, to handling the complex litigation and negotiations if your case proceeds to trial.  We would be more than happy to provide you with a free consultation about your case, which includes reviewing the highway plans as they pertain to the government authority’s appraisal.
 

Our fees are based entirely on the amount that we are able to negotiate for you.  In cases where our negotiations with the government authority lead to a settlement without proceeding to trial, our fees will be 10% of the total settlement amount, plus any related expenses.  If the case proceeds to trial and is either settled, or we obtain a verdict, our fees will be 20% of the total amount, plus any related expenses.  Related expenses include such items as appraisal fees, witness fees, deposition recording, and exhibit costs.
